Dancin' Through the Decades

Mrs. Barkley and Coach Baugh did a fantastic job of teaching the kiddos the different dances of the decades.  They've been doing this for a few years now and it's one of my favorite days.  Each student is assigned a decade.  They dress the part for that decade.  I love to see how they dress.  Some go ALL OUT and some simple, but everyone looks super! Even the teachers dress up.  I didn't dress up this year...I know...I was a party pooper.  But you should have seen some of the teachers in their 90's windsuits and BIG 80's hair.  CUTE!  Anyway, seeing the kids dance is so funny!  What was even funnier was watching Coach Baugh.  The music is fabulous too.  It made me want to break out some of my cheerleading moves...but I held back.  I hope you enjoy these pictures!

Valentine's Day

We had a fun Valentine's Day in class.  Kids LOVE Valentine's Day. They always say it's their favorite holiday.  They love to hand out Valentine cards to their friends.  It's great to see how excited they get.  We had tons of "special snacks" too.  Thank goodness they ate them at then end of the day.

We made these cute little "kiss people"...they turned out so "sweet!"  I loved reading their responses about who they like kisses from and who they would never want kisses from.

Valentine Mailboxes!
This was a family project.  They turned out so cute!  I always love seeing what they come up with at home with their family.
